You create the card during sign-up. After that you edit it from Card, in the Menu. The card preview stays on screen while you edit, so you see it the way your customer will on their phone.
Stamps to complete the card
Choose 5, 8, 10 or 12, or Other for any number from 2 to 30. Think about how often a regular comes in. A card that fills up in a month or two feels reachable, so people finish it. A coffee shop with daily regulars does well with 10. A monthly service like a hair salon or a car wash works better with 5, because 10 haircuts take most of a year.
Reward for a full card
Write it the way you'd say it at the counter: “Free coffee”, “Half a dozen donuts”, “Free car wash”. You have up to 40 characters. The cashier reads this exact text on the button when the card is full, so make it clear. The reward that works best costs you little and means a lot to the customer, usually the product they come in for.
If the reward matches a product in your catalog, it's linked to that product, and the Dashboard can show what your rewards cost you.
How stamps are earned
- Per visit: each visit adds 1, 2 or 3 stamps. Under this option there's Require a minimum purchase to stamp (optional), for businesses where a tiny purchase shouldn't count. The minimum only applies when the cashier records the purchase amount. A stamp added without an amount always counts.
- By amount spent: every set amount of spending adds stamps. In this mode the register always asks for the amount and shows how many stamps the purchase earns.
Stamp expiry
Stamps can never expire, or expire after the number of days or months you choose. Your customer sees on their card when their next stamps expire. If you change the rule later, stamps already given keep the expiry they had.
Milestone rewards
A milestone reward is something the customer gets before the card is full, like a pastry at stamp 5 of 10. Tap Add a milestone reward, pick the stamp from the list and write the reward. You can add up to three. A milestone doesn't use stamps, and it can be given once per card. When the final reward is given and the card starts over, the milestones are available again.
Changing the card later
Everything is saved with Save changes. If you change the number of stamps, customers keep the stamps they have: someone with 8 on a card of 10 already has their reward ready if you switch to 5. A new reward applies to every card completed from then on. Wallet passes update on their own.
