How customers sign up

There's one way in: the customer signs up on their own phone by scanning the QR code at your counter. The register doesn't create customers. Your cashier never types details while people wait in line, and every card belongs to an email the customer confirmed.

The counter QR

It's a poster ready to put up next to where people pay. Print it from the Dashboard with Print the counter QR, or from Settings, in Locations, with Sign-up poster. If you have more than one location, each location has its own poster, and customers who sign up with it belong to that location. To share the sign-up link online, use Share link on the Dashboard.

If a customer who hasn't signed up reaches the register, the register shows the same QR on screen so they can scan it right there.

What the customer does

They scan the code with their phone camera and see a page with your business name and the reward. They fill in Your name, Your email, Your phone and Your birthday. All four are required. They can also check the box to receive notices about discounts, gifts and news.

Then we email them a 6-digit code. They type it on the same page and the card is created. If it doesn't arrive, the page suggests checking spam and lets them tap Send another code.

With the card open, they can tap Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet. The card sits next to their boarding passes and tickets and updates by itself after every visit. If they sign up again with the same email, they get the same card back with their balance.

If they come back without their phone

They don't need the card to earn. At the register, the cashier types their phone number under Came without their phone? That's why the phone number is required at sign-up. The register can also search by email.

What you keep and why

The phone number finds the customer at the register. The email confirms the card is theirs. The birthday lets you see who has one coming up, with the Birthdays filter in Customers. Their card shows their stamps or points and their rewards, never their contact details, and no screen in rewa shows a full phone number or email.

No limit on customers

Customers are unlimited on every plan. During the 14-day trial everything works. If the trial ends before you pick a plan, the register pauses until you do, and new customers can't sign up. Your customers and their cards are kept.
