Who can do what on your team

rewa has three fixed roles. There are no custom permissions: each person signs in with their own email and sees only what their role allows. The evening cashier can't change the reward by accident, and you never lend anyone your account.

Owner: the account and the money

The person who created the account. There's one per business. The owner does everything an admin does, plus what belongs to whoever pays:

  • Chooses the plan, adds the payment card, pauses or cancels in Plan & billing.
  • Adds admins, changes their role or removes them.
  • Transfers ownership of the business to someone else.

Admin: day-to-day work, except billing

For the manager or partner who runs the store. Admins see the Dashboard, customers, sales and messages. They edit the card or the program, the catalog, notices, business settings and locations, and they make corrections with a reason: adjusting a balance, voiding an entry or deleting a customer. They use the register like any operator.

On the team they add and remove operators, not admins. They don't see Plan & billing and can't transfer the business.

Operator: the register only

The role for whoever works the counter. Operators go straight to the Register and see no other screen. From there they:

  • Find customers by scanning their card or by phone.
  • Add stamps or points and give rewards.
  • Show the sign-up QR so a new customer can join.

They don't see the Dashboard or the customer list, and they can't change amounts, rewards, the catalog or the card. Two safeguards are built for the counter: they can only undo their own entries, within 10 minutes (for anything else they ask an admin), and they can't add stamps or redeem rewards on their own customer card.

How to add someone

In Settings, go to Team. Type their email, choose What they can do and tap Add to the team. They get an email, and to sign in they use that same email, with Google or with a code. There are no passwords to share. An email belongs to one business: someone who already owns another business on rewa, or is on another team, can't join yours with that email.

If you have more than one location, choose where each person works with Locations on their row. Until you choose, they work at all of them.

Removing access

With Remove on their row, the person loses access on their next action, even if they have the register open. Everything they already entered (stamps, points, sales) stays on record.

Transferring the business

If you sell the business or someone else takes over, the owner transfers it from Team with Transfer ownership. It can only go to an admin who has signed in at least once. You type their email to confirm, and for security you must have signed in to rewa in the last 10 minutes; if not, the screen asks you to Sign in again. The new owner has 48 hours to tap Accept ownership in the email. From then on they manage billing and the team, and the previous owner stays on as an admin.
