Rewa asks every returning customer for a Google review. It asks once, on the visit you choose, inside the same notification they get when they earn stamps or points. You don't send anything yourself.
First, your location's review link
Without this link Rewa has nowhere to send the customer, and the ask stays paused. To get it, open your Google Business Profile and tap Ask for reviews: Google gives you a short link. Paste it in Settings, Locations, in the Google review link field for your location.
If you have more than one location, each one gets its own link. Rewa only accepts Google links.
Which visit triggers the ask
On the same screen, under Google review request, pick the visit: 3, 5, 8 or 10. It starts at 5. With Don't ask, Rewa asks nobody.
Every time your team adds stamps or points for a customer in Scan card, that counts as one visit. If you void it, it stops counting. Expirations and balance adjustments don't count either.
Each customer is asked once. If you add the link after a customer has passed that visit, they get the ask on their next one.
What your customer sees
The ask rides along with the notification for that visit. With a 10-stamp card and the ask on visit 5, their lock screen shows:
“You earned a stamp. You have 5 of 10 stamps. Enjoying Café Rewa? Leave us a Google review: the link is on your card.”
It's the same notification as the stamp, so it doesn't use up any of your Notices sends. Wallet notifications can't open a link (tapping one opens the card), so the message tells them where to find it. From then on the link stays on their card:
- In Apple Wallet, on the back of the pass, under Google review.
- In Google Wallet, in the card's links.
- On the web card, as a Leave a Google review button.
What happens when they tap the link
Your review page opens. If you have several locations, it first asks which one they visited. Then it shows the Leave a Google review button, which takes them to Google to write it.
At the bottom, in small print, there's I'd rather write to the store in private. Every customer sees it, along with the Google button. If someone writes to you that way, the message reaches you by email and shows up in Messages, in the Menu.
The review poster
To ask anyone, card or no card, each location has its own poster. In Settings, Locations, tap Review poster and print it. The QR code opens the same page with that location already picked.
Why Rewa never asks how their visit went first
Google's rules ban two practices. One is asking about the experience first and sending only happy customers to Google. The other is giving a reward or a discount in exchange for a review. Google removes reviews collected either way and can suspend the business profile.
So Rewa picks who to ask by how often they come back. Someone on their fifth visit is usually a happy customer, and Rewa asks them without screening them first.
Checking that it's working
In Settings, Locations, the Google review request section says On or Paused. On the Dashboard, your card has a Google review row: it shows which visit triggers the ask, Off or Link missing. While no location has the link, Finish setting up lists Google review, and its Add button takes you to Settings, Locations.
